Loading the Golden Image from FastIron Command Line Interface

The Golden image is only supported on ICX 8100 and ICX 8200 devices.

  1. Reset the device to the golden image.
    device# erase system factory-default golden
    Setting up the system for Factory Reset from Golden image...

  2. Upon confirmation, a detailed warning message is displayed as shown below, prompting you about various files which may be erased during the command execution.

  3. If your type ‘y’ for both of the displayed warning message(s), then the behavior of the erase system factory-default golden command will be same as erase system factory-default command in terms of the execution workflow with some notable difference(s):
    • It will install the Golden image into both primary and secondary partitions as part of the CLI execution workflow.
    • Once the Golden image is installed into both the primary and secondary partitions, the device will by default boot from the primary partition.
