Customizing Web Authentication Pages
You can customize the following objects in the Web Authentication pages:
- Title bar
- Banner image (logo)
- Header
- Textbox
- Login button
- User ID label and entry field
- Password label and entry field
- Footer
You can use the show webauth or the
show webauth vlan
vlan-ID
webpage command to determine what text has been configured
for Web Authentication pages.
Note: The banner image does not apply to the Web
Authentication maximum attempts limit page. The entry fields and Login button
apply to the login page only.
The following steps customize the objects in the Web Authentication page.
- Customize the title bar that is displayed on all Web Authentication pages.
- Customize the banner image
(logo) using TFTP. To customize the banner image, use the TFTP protocol to upload an image file from a TFTP server to the ICX device. The image file can be in the .jpg, .bmp, or .gif format, and must be 64 Kb or less. If you upload a new image file, it will overwrite the existing image file.
- Align the banner image (logo). By default, the logo is left-aligned at the top of the page. You can change the placement of the logo to the center or right at the top of the page.
- Customize the header.
- Customize the text box. By default, the text box is empty and is not visible. To create a text box or to replace the existing one, upload an ASCII text file from a TFTP server to the ICX device. The text file size must not exceed 2 Kb.
- Customize the Login button.
- Remove or customize the User
ID field.The following example changes the User ID label to read "username". The alphanumeric text used for the label has a maximum length of 32 characters.
- Customize the Password
field.The following example changes the Password label to read "password to authenticate". The alphanumeric text used for the label has a maximum length of 32 characters.
- Customize the footer.
