Regenerating SSH Host Keys

You can generate the Secure Shell Protocol (SSH) host keys from the Cloudpath web interface and CLI terminal.
Complete the following steps to regenerate the SSH host keys from the Cloudpath web interface.
  1. From the Cloudpath Enrollment System navigation bar, go to Support > Diagnostics.
    The Diagnostics page is displayed.
  2. Select the SSH Host Keys tab.
    The existing SSH Host Keys and the status is displayed.
  3. Click Regenerate SSH Host Keys.
    The new SSH host keys are generated.

  4. Complete the following steps to manually regenerate the SSH host keys using the Command Line Interface (CLI) of Cloudpath using a terminal program like PuTTY or similar

    Note: To access this CLI, you will need the service password, which is configured during the initial installation of the VM instance.

  5. Start an SSH session by using valid credentials.
    • Use cpn_service for the username.
    • Enter the Service Password.
  6. Enter the config ssh regenerate-host-keys command.
    The new SSH Host keys are generated.

      Note:
    • Make a copy of the SSH host keys and store them securely.
    • The new SSH host keys will take effect for subsequent SSH sessions.
  7. (Optional) Use the ssh display-host-keys command to display the SSH host keys.
