LED Patterns

Refer to the following table to interpret the LED patterns.

Power Status LEDs During Normal Operation

System LED Description Notes
Power (Green/Amber)
  • OFF: System is not powered.
  • ON, Solid Green: System is operating normally.
  • Solid Amber: System is receiving power but is not operating properly.
  • Blinking Amber: Factory reset mode.
  • Blinking Green: Cloud connected.
  • Alternating Flashing Green and Amber: Cloud connection in Progress or Cloud configuration in progress.
Dedicated LED regardless of STATUS selection
Default Port Status Mode (Green/Amber) Port Status mode displays the link status and activities of each port. The port status mode will be the DEFAULT mode. The port status mode LED turns on steady Green. Each port LED displays the following:
  • Off - no valid link Steady Green - link is up and no traffic
  • Blinking Green - link is up and traffic/packets are transmitted or received

Selected by CLI command. For example:

Port Speed Status Mode (Green/Amber) Port Speed status mode displays the speed setting of each downlink port. The port speed mode LED turns on green. Each port LED displays the following:
  • Off - not connected
  • Steady green - highest speed for the port
  • Blinking green - next lower speed of steady green
  • Steady amber - next lower speed of blinking green

Selected by CLI command. For example:

PoE Status Mode (Green/Amber) PoE status mode displays the PoE setting of each downlink port. PoE status mode LED turns on green. Each port LED displays the following to indicate PoE is enabled and the amount of power allocated:
  • Off - Port is not providing PoE power because of one of the following reasons:
    • PoE is disabled.
    • There is no device connected to the port.
    • The device connected to the port is not a PoE device.
  • Steady Green: PoE is on. Port is providing power.
  • Blinking Amber: PoE is off due to a fault or not enough PoE power budget set for the port.
