Disabling NTP
To disable the NTP server and client modes, use
the disable
command in NTP configuration mode. Disabling the NTP server or client mode does
not
remove the configuration.
device# configure terminal device(config)# ntp device(config-ntp)# disable
To enable the client mode, use the
no disable command. To enable the client and server mode, use the
no disable serve command.
The serve keyword disables NTP server mode. If the serve keyword is specified, NTP does not serve the time to downstream devices. In contrast, if the serve keyword is not specified, both NTP client and NTP server modes are disabled.
