Configuring IPv6 PIM Source-Specific Multicast
You can configure Source-Specific
Multicast (SSM) on any interface that is IPv6 PIM SM enabled.
ssm-enable command under the IPv6
router PIM level to globally enable SSM filtering. To enable SSM for a specified VRF, refer to the example after the task steps.
- Enter global configuration mode.
- Enable IPv6 PIM.
- Configure an SSM group range. The IPv6 address and mask specifies the multicast address for the SSM address range.
- To display information for PIM SSM group ranges, use the
