Key Features and Enhancements

Feature Description
Application Visibility
  • This feature is supported only for SD-LAN and not for PIN.
  • This feature depends on the AP's classification function to categorize packets.
Traffic Shaping
  • HQoS is supported only for SD-LAN and not for PIN.
  • Enabling or disabling HQoS will initiate a reload of the RUCKUS Edge data path, potentially causing brief traffic interruptions. After enabling HQoS, the bandwidth profile might not be applied instantly due to VPP reloading. If the configuration status show as failed, reapply the HQoS configuration to rectify the issue.
  • Enabling HQoS may result in a reduction in throughput if the total bandwidth on the Edge surpasses 10G.
  • HQOS relies on the classification function of the AP to categorize packets and update the DSCP value of the inner packet before tunneling it to RUCKUS Edge.
Personal Identity networks (PIN)
  • This feature will be supported on all switch models with switch version 10.0.10f_cd1 or later, except for the ICX 7150 model.
  • Support for the ICX 7150 model will be available starting from 10.0.0g-cd1 version.
MulticastDNS/Bonjour Gateway
  • This feature is supported only for SD-LAN.
