Only 16 VRRP instances are configurable on the ICX 7150 device. The following example globally enables VRRP and enters interface configuration mode. device# configure terminal device(config)# router vrrp device(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/5

Considerations for Managing ICX Switches from the Cloud
Last Updated
Sep 03, 2026
configuration changes via the Cloud or the CLI. The following limitations apply to ICX-Management from the Cloud: Only ICX 7150, ICX 7550, ICX 7650, and ICX 7850 switches can connect to the Cloud. An ICX switch must have an IPv4 address to connect to the cloud. In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) is not supported through the cloud.

enhancements include: An IPv6 unicast address family and network layer reachability information (NLRI) Next hop attributes that use IPv6 addresses The implementation of BGP4+ supports the advertising of routes among different address families. However, it supports BGP4+ unicast routes only; it does not currently support BGP4+ multicast routes. ICX 7150 devices do not support BGP4+.
