Configuring the Share Port Level for an Egress Buffer Profile
The share port level for an egress buffer profile defines the maximum number of buffers
that a port can use as a portion of the total memory.
Note: For the RUCKUS devices, you can
change the queue share level for an individual queue which has a finer granularity
than the port share level for an individual port.
After the egress-buffer share port level is defined, it can be associated with one or more ports.
Perform the following steps to configure the egress-buffer share port level.
- Enter global configuration mode.
- Configure the share level.
In this step, the egress2 buffer profile is configured with a queue share level 3 for a maximum 1/16 portion of the total buffer memory that can be used in a sharing pool.
- Access interface mode for the port to which you want to apply the profile.
- Attach the profile to the port.
- Return to privileged EXEC mode.
- Verify the configuration.
- Save the configuration.
