Single 802.1W Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (SRSTP)
By default, each port-based VLAN on a
RUCKUS device runs a separate rapid spanning tree, which you can enable or disable
on an
individual VLAN basis.
Alternatively, you can configure a RUCKUS device to run a single rapid spanning tree (802.1W) across all ports and VLANs on the device. The single rapid STP feature (SRSTP) is especially useful for connecting a RUCKUS device to third-party devices that run a single rapid spanning tree in accordance with the 802.1Q specification.
SRSTP uses the same parameters, with the same value ranges and defaults, as the default STP support on RUCKUS devices. Refer to STP Parameters and Defaults.
