Mounting Options

The RUCKUS ICX 8100 24-port and 48-port switches support the following mounting options:

  • In a two-post Telco rack using a two-post rack mount kit (ICX7000-RMK). The two-post rack mount brackets are included with the switch and support various mounting positions.
  • In a four-post EIA rack using the 1U, 1.5U, and 2U Universal Kit for Four-Post Racks (XBR-R000295). The rack kit can be used to install devices in EIA racks that are between 61 cm and 81 cm (24 in. to 32 in.) deep.
  • As a standalone unit on a wall.
  • As a standalone unit on a flat surface.

The RUCKUS ICX8100-C08PF and ICX8100-C16P compact switch supports the following mounting options:

  • In a two-post Telco rack using the compact switch mount kit (ICX7000-C12-RMK).
  • As a standalone unit on a wall using the wall anchors and M4L8 Pan-head screws.
  • As a standalone unit on a flat surface.
  • As a standalone unit under a flat surface or on a ceiling using the compact switch mount kit (ICX7000-C12-RMK).
  • As a standalone unit on a wall using the wall mounting brackets included with the shipment. No other equipment is required for wall mount installation.
