Configuring PoD on an interface
To upgrade the ports from 1-Gbps to 10-Gbps speed, perform the following steps.
- Generate the CoE for the PoD license you want on the Ruckus Support portal.
- Install the SAU PoD license on the device. See Installing or Downgrading SAU Licenses for detailed steps.
- Insert the 10-Gbps optic transceiver.
- Enter the
speed-duplex 10g-fullcommand on a single interface, multiple interfaces, or an interface range on the ICX 7250. - Enter the
write memorycommand to save the configuration. The ports are automatically configured to 10-Gbps speed. If you enable the port to 10-Gbps speed and then enter the
no speed-duplexcommand, the port continues to run at 10-Gbps speed. When the device reboots, the port reverts to 1-Gbps speed. If the
speed-duplex 10g-fullcommand fails, a syslog message is generated and displayed. The command fails because there is no license available for the port. The following example is a syslog message generated informing you about the failure.SYSLOG: <14>Jul 31 00:33:46 10.20.147.22 PoD: No license present for port 1/3/1.
