Troubleshooting Web-management and HTTPS Dependency
This section provides examples for
resolving issues related to web-management and HTTPS dependencies when configuring
RESTCONF.
RESTCONF cannot be enabled if global web-management is disabled. The following syslog message is displayed:
SYSLOG: <14> Mar 02 16:27:38 Router CLI CMD: "restconf enable" by cli user from console [Error]: Error - Cannot enable RESTCONF: web-management is disabled. Enable web management first.
Enable web-management globally using the no web-management disable
command.
device(config)# no web-management disable
When RESTCONF is enabled, web-management HTTPS cannot be disabled.
device(config)#no web-management https SYSLOG: <14> Mar 02 16:33:05 Router CLI CMD: "no web-management https" by cli user from console Error - Cannot disable HTTPS: RESTCONF is enabled. Disable RESTCONF first.
RESTCONF requires global web-management to remain enabled. If RESTCONF is active, global web-management cannot be disabled.
device(config)# web-management disable Web disable will disable both HTTP and HTTPS. This command may take some time. Do you want to proceed?(enter 'y' or 'n'): y Error - Cannot disable web-management: RESTCONF is enabled. Disable RESTCONF first.
Note: To disable RESCONF and its dependencies, follow the reverse
order by disabling RESTCONF, HTTPS, and web-management.
